The theatre acts as a site of connection and engagement for the city of Redlands, representing the city’s culture and creativity and becoming a center for gathering in order to appreciate the cadence of nature, music, art and community. This idea of cadence is brought through the entire form of the building. The exterior form engages the public, connecting them to cadence in music and art as the forms dive into and interact with the ground plane. The park that cuts through these forms connects the public to the cadence of nature, and creates a space for community to engage with each other as well. The interior leads the users through all three floors in order to reach the theatre spaces.
